Jacob nods and ruffles Tyler's hair slightly before walking off to Winter with a grin, picking up his adopted daughter and talking quietly, causing the girl to giggle quietly. Tyler narrows his eyes at Jacob and fixes his hair, seeing as he's never been fond of it when people mess up the slight quiff.

He just nods and whistles, catching the attention of the two dogs in the corner. The German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois instantly jump to their paws and race forward, tails wagging as they paw at their owner, who ruffles their fur slightly.

"They won't bite unless she threatens 'em or they sense danger. She's a'ight." He informs, both dogs looking over at the two and approaching eagerly, sniffing at their legs to ensure they can trust them before sitting at their feet and gazing up at them with wide eyes.

Both dogs yip quietly in comfort, before rolling over to expose their stomachs and squirming slightly. Tyler rolls his eyes slightly at their behavior and walks over to Winter & Jacob, taking the small girl from his boyfriend before taking her hand in his, giving a half-smile and speaking quietly, "Hey Winter."

Their tails drag along the ground as they start wagging, giving expressions similar to grins and yipping. "We leave at dawn, gives us time to get packed and rested. And it gives me time to tend to my shitty leg." Tyler informs, nodding to his injured leg, causing Jacob to notice it for the first time.

Tyler rolls his eyes before protesting as Jacob gets his weapons together to get ready for a perimeter check. "I'm gonna come back. I promise," Jacob assures. Tyler frowns and nods, "Fine." He mumbles. "Love you!" Jacob calls jokingly as he walks off before Tyler can respond.
